This year Fantastic Fest welcomes hugely prolific auteur Jess Franco, a man who has carved out a special place in film history with his wholly unique oeuvre of sex films. We will show a selection of Mr. Franco's films during Fantastic Fest and present him with our first Lifetime Achievement Award, sponsored by Ain't It Cool News. Jess Franco and his longtime collaborator Lina Romay will attend the screenings of VENUS IN FURS, SUCCUBUS and BARE BREASTED COUNTESS.

Community

The Fantastic Fest BSide Community

The 2009 BSide Community is currently disabled. We will reactivate the community function in the months closer to the festival when content has been announced. Fantastic Fest has partnered with BSide to provide community functionality. BSide makes it easy for the audience to communicate with each other and with the visiting filmmakers. Audience members are encouraged to become active members of the community and post reviews and ratings of the films that they see at the festival.
