A Volunteer Experience With All The Boring Parts Cut Out!

Fantastic Fest is looking for volunteers (18 years and older, please) for the 2009 festival. We need you to stand face to face with the celebs and the fans alike to make sure everyone has a rip-roarin’-Austin-Texas-Alamo-Drafthouse-good-time.

No other festival draws so many eclectic directors, writers, actors and genre film fanatics from across the globe, packs them into 40,000sq.ft. of space and mixes them all together with screenings, beer, karaoke, beer, BBQ, beer, trivia, beer, boxing and more beer! And you can help make it all happen.

Due to an outstanding turnout at the first Volunteer Sign-Up Session, there are very few open shifts remaining for this year’s festival!!!!!!! All the remaining available shifts are daytime shifts occurring Monday, September 28th through Thursday, October 1st only.

If you are interested and able to work the festival during the remaining shifts you must attend the following Volunteer Sign-Up Session:

Monday, August 24, 2009 @ 6:30pm – Alamo South Lamar

Sign-Up Sessions will last about an hour and will answer all your questions about volunteering for the festival. At the conclusion of each session you will be allowed to sign up for any available shifts during the festival, so bring your calendars.

In addition to any shifts you sign up for all volunteers must be able to attend a pre-meeting on Saturday, September 12, 2009 @ 11:00am and festival set-up on Tuesday, September 22,, 2009 @ 6:30pm.

Godzilla Level (Successful Completion of Pre-Fest Duties and Minimum of 9 Full Shifts):
Exclusive 2009 FF t-shirt
Four vouchers for FF films during the festival (space permitting)
Eight free passes to the Alamo Drafthouse*
$100 food & beverage gift certificate to Alamo Drafthouse
All Volunteers Receive:
An official “volunteer” t-shirt
Free Alamo meal while on shift (please remember to tip your wait staff)

(Alien and Godzilla Level Volunteers are also eligible for a special invitation only event to be announced at the conclusion of the festival.)
